The twins have had a burst of language development in the last few weeks. They are now chattering and able to understand each other for some things, which is far cuter than I ever imagined it would be.
They call all of our names. Mom/Mama/Mommy and Daddy are the easy ones. Both girls have had the hang of those for a while. But now Juliet calls Willa “Lala” and Milo “Nga-no” and Violet “I-et.” And Willa calls Juliet “DooDoo” and Milo “Mi-mo” and Violet “Sie-ee.”
All right, you may not understand them, but I do!
Juliet calls everyone to supper by cheerily shouting, “Bupper! Bupper!”
Willa squeals, “I luh you!” when I come home from work. She also points to the school bus, chanting, “Ye-llow Buh!”
They have each grabbed a favorite question: Juliet asks, “How?” and Willa prefers “Why?” Using these questions, we actually have conversations with a real back and forth, not just me asking them somethin or telling them something and them repeating it.
If they are anything like their older siblings, this is the very beginning in the life of some constant talkers. Ooh, boy! This house is gonna be loud…

I love my little talkers. They talk SO MUCH! It’s cute and a little exhausting. Also: digging your new gravatar.
Thank you — it’s a Yeah Write gravatar, but it’s far cuter than I am, so I adore it!

Ah, yes, the early days of talking twins. I remember those days. Yes, it gets loud. Mine are four and they talk nonstop, except of course when you ask them a question that requires immediate answering. . .
(by the way, my girl is named Juliet too)

Juliet is a lovely name, isn’t it?

I’ve never heard a mom call a teenager boring, so this is a first…
